Artist Statement:
"Nothing
in life is easy. The things you want the most cause you the most pain
and this pain is the pain of the battle to get to where you yarn to be."
My
concept is about that fact that so many post graduates don't go into the
field that they studied for. In reality my model is an accountant who
is working as a bank teller. His academic successes have been stripped
from him, which is represented by him just having a muscle top on under
his suit. His briefcase and folio papers are thrown to the side like his
dreams. He is battered and bruised from his climb to try and reach the
top. He is sitting in the ruble, in the now useless items. The green
grass has the strongest color saturation and this symbioses the last of
his hope. For better. For more. For success.
